The Villa Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva 2022 is crafted from a blend of Sangiovese (90%) and small amounts of complementary varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The grapes are sourced from carefully selected vineyards in the heart of Chianti Classico. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months in French and Hungarian oak barrels, followed by additional bottle aging, enhancing its depth and complexity.
Tasting notes This Riserva displays a deep ruby red color. The bouquet reveals complex aromas of ripe cherries, blackcurrants, and violets, supported by subtle hints of vanilla, tobacco, and spices. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and elegant, with firm yet silky tannins and vibrant acidity. The finish is long and harmonious, with notes of dark chocolate and a touch of toasted oak.
