This rosé, made from Pinot Noir (known as Spätburgunder in Germany), is a beautiful example of a vibrant, fruity rosé. The vineyards are situated on steep slopes above the river, surrounded by a picturesque landscape of slate cliffs, wine villages, and winding river bends – typical of the Mosel Valley. The grapes are hand-picked and undergo a short skin contact to achieve this lovely color. Fermentation and aging take place in stainless steel tanks to preserve as much fruitiness as possible.
Tasting Notes The nose reveals aromas of wild strawberries, raspberries, rosehip, and a hint of minerality, thanks to the slate-rich soils. On the palate, the fruit shines through, supported by a pleasant acidity. The wine has a mineral-driven style that highlights its freshness, creating a well-balanced interplay with the red fruit.
Food Pairing This rosé is a versatile companion at the table. It pairs wonderfully with light dishes such as grilled fish, shellfish, and poultry. The combination of freshness, complexity, and a touch of minerality makes it suitable for a wide range of meals.
