A true expression of Piedmont’s king of wines. Prunotto Barolo 2020 showcases elegance and structure in perfect balance. Grapes were carefully selected, destemmed and crushed. Malolactic fermentation was completed before the end of winter. The wine was aged for at least 18 months in oak barrels of varying capacities, allowing Barolo to develop great balance.
Tasting notes An intensely ruby red wine with light garnet hues. The nose is complex and precise: notes of red oranges and pink pepper lead to hints of small wild berries and roots. The palate is full and fruity with excellent structure and silky tannins accompanied by extraordinary freshness. The wine closes with a persistent finish that echoes aromas perceived on the nose.
Food pairing Goes well with game, steak and almost all dishes with rich sauces.
