GSM, a classic blend popularised in the Rhône Valley, brings together Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre grapes in a harmonious trio. Our Mediterranean blend captures this essence, combining the lushness of Grenache and the depth of Syrah, both from vineyards sheltered between the Pyrenees and the Cevennes, with the Mourvèdre grapes sourced from cooler climates along the Mediterranean coast.
Aged in a mix of French and American oak barrels, each variety contributes to the blend's complexity. A special technique is employed for the Mourvèdre grapes, allowing a portion to rest on the skins, drawing out an extra burst of fruitiness. After fermentation, the wines mature separately for six months before being expertly blended, then spend additional time in light oak barrels to fine-tune their flavours.
Tasting notes A wine with a rich bouquet of black currants and red fruit notes with warm, spicy floral undertones. On the palate, it's a full-bodied experience with layers of black fruit and liquorice, all harmonised by velvety soft tannins.
Food Pairing This wine is an excellent match for grilled red meats, robust pasta dishes, or spicy cheeses, embodying the versatility and spirit of the Rhône's celebrated GSM blend.
