Fola Primitivo is made using partially dried grapes, inspired by the traditional Italian appassimento method. This gives the wine extra depth and richness, while still keeping a smooth and balanced character.
Coming from the sunny vineyards of Puglia in southern Italy, this is a Primitivo that combines ripe fruit and intensity with a fresher, more refined style than many people expect from the region.
Tasting notes A ruby red colour in the glass. In the nose aromas of red fruit with spicy notes. In the mouth tastes of spice and balsamic notes, aromas of plum and blackberry and soft tannins.
Food pairing This wine goes very well with mature cheeses and grilled red meats.
