Esprit de Crès Ricards Marsanne - Roussanne

Esprit de Crès Ricards Marsanne - Roussanne 2025. Esprit de Crès Ricards started in 1960 in the village of Ceyras, an area known as Crès Ricards. 50 years later, the 28 hectares of vines, located at the foot of Mont Baudile, were taken over by Jean-Claude Mas. The beautiful combination of red clay soil with slate and pebbles ensures that silky soft wines with an intense flavor come from this area. The grapes are selected carefully in a lower area, which is essential for the taste. In 2012, Jean-Claude Mas extended the vineyards to 39 hectares. The Marsanne Roussanne grapes are picked manually and mechanically by night to prevent oxidation. 15% of this wine ages in French oak barrels and the remaining 85% in stainless steel tanks. 

 

Tasting notes
This combination of Marsanne and Roussanne creates a delicious rich and fresh wine with shades of passion fruit, white flowers and honeysuckle. In the amazing long-lasting finish emerges a touch of vanilla and apricot.

Delicious before and during the meal and goes perfectly with fish dishes, chicken, salad and blue cheeses.
