A millésime (vintage) Champagne is something quite special: it comes from a single, exceptional harvest year, and is only declared when the growing conditions—weather, soil, grape quality—all combine to produce fruit that merits its own identity. Baron-Fuenté, with vineyards tracing back to the 17th century in Charly-sur-Marne, knows this tradition well. Their vintage champagnes capture the character of a single year, aged longer, and crafted with meticulous care to reveal depth and nuance.
Tasting notes The limestone soil is essential for this type of quality champagne. The nose has touches of citrus fruits, pear, peach, and hints of acacia honey. It is a very fresh yet rich champagne, and reveals a sweetness that is perfectly balanced by the acidity. The finish gives a zest of green citrus and orange flavors.
